Assistant to Amelie Hoover—found dead in 1910
Anulein disappeared with the rest of Hoover’s expedition in 1880.
In 1910, Anulein’s body was found in the peat bogs north of Cobbleton. It was so perfectly preserved that she looked exactly as she had prior to her disappearance. The examining doctors testified that she had died within the previous 72 hours. This sparked a major controversy and resulted in the Army and Ministry of Education sending an expeditionary team to investigate.
